Raipur, Chhattisgarh:
A menacing pack of men enter a park, walk up to couples sitting on the bank of a lake and, yelling abuses, start to manhandle them, viciously blackening their faces.
As the couples start running, the attackers, members of the Bajrang Dal, home in on one couple and attack the girl, who is thrown on to the ground. The young man with the stunned and humiliated girl attempts to protect her, finally covering her face.
The attackers shout slogans as they walk away with a swagger, looking for new victims. They finally drive away on motorcycles with saffron flags on them.
No horror episode from a television serial this. This happened in Chhattisgarh's capital city Raipur, when the self-appointed moral police went ballistic attacking people on Sunday, being observed as Friendship Day. The shocking attack was caught on video.

One of the couples attacked has filed a complaint and the police have arrested four Bajrang Dal members.
