Unskilled workers in high demand in Moscow

Moscow:

Unskilled workers and policemen are in high demand in Moscow's labour market, according to Yuri Ragozin, head of the regional labour and employment committee.

Unskilled workers, seamstresses and bricklayers are the three top vacancies.

The region needs almost 7,000 unskilled workers with an average monthly salary of 8,500 rubles, 2,153 seamstresses with the average monthly salary of 11,900 rubles and 1,339 bricklayers with the monthly salaries of 15,600 rubles, he pointed out.

Porters, dustmen, cooks, drivers, painters and carpenters are the other top vacancies.

The region is also on a lookout for 1,049 policemen with the average monthly salary of 19,400 rubles, 800 managers with the average monthly salary of 28,900 rubles and 793 guards with the average monthly salary of 14,300 rubles.

Nurses, insurance agents, doctors and accountants can also find jobs in the Moscow suburbs, the head said.
