Dallas: Public health officials' response in monitoring and limiting movement of workers who care for Texas patients with Ebola has been inconsistent.

When the top administrator in Dallas County learned that a nurse at Texas Health Presbyterian had caught Ebola, he asked for a list of other hospital staffers who might be at risk.

Judge Clay Jenkins says he was told no such list existed. He says the hospital told him staffers who cared for Ebola patient Thomas Eric Duncan in his dying days were in charge of monitoring themselves for symptoms.

In contrast, friends and family who had contact with Duncan before he was hospitalised are confined to homes under armed guard.
