The investigation into the death of Twisha Sharma has intensified after the Central Bureau of Investigation formally took over the case from the SIT and re-registered the FIR. Police recently recreated the crime scene at the couple’s residence in Bhopal with Twisha's husband, Samarth Singh, who was arrested after being traced by police in Jabalpur. During nearly three hours of questioning, investigators claim Samarth Singh repeatedly attempted to mislead the SIT while answering questions about his disappearance after Twisha’s death. Officials have seized digital evidence including laptops, Aadhaar documents and other devices as part of the probe. The case has also sparked public outrage, with Hindu groups organising prayer ceremonies demanding justice for Twisha Sharma and calling for a thorough CBI investigation into the circumstances surrounding her death.
