SP Split Buzz: UP Deputy CM Claims 25+ MPs May Rebel, Akhilesh Yadav Pushes Back

Sparking fresh political rumblings in Uttar Pradesh, SBSP chief OP Rajbhar alleged that senior SP leader Ram Gopal Yadav wrote to Home Minister Amit Shah, hinting at a possible split-claims Yadav has denied. Dy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya escalated the charge, saying 25-26 SP MPs are ready to break away, while insisting BJP is not engineering any move. Akhilesh Yadav dismissed the split talk, accused BJP of destabilisation attempts, and urged party workers to stay united. Rajbhar, meanwhile, warned of internal upheaval within the SP, fuelling speculation over whether the threat is real or political brinkmanship.
