Samajwadi Party Chief Akhilesh Yadav has intensified his attack on the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, saying the Trust’s clarification on the alleged Ram Temple donation irregularities is “not clear enough.” Yadav questioned the Trust’s response after reports surfaced claiming that crores of rupees from donations offered by devotees may have been diverted. The former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister said the issue concerns the faith of millions of Ram devotees and demanded greater transparency. He urged that the matter be discussed in the presence of all trustees so that the truth can emerge. Yadav also criticized the Uttar Pradesh government’s silence on the controversy. In response, the Ram Temple Trust has rejected any wrongdoing and stated that regular internal audits are being conducted jointly with State Bank of India officials. Trust General Secretary Champat Rai said that ongoing audits have not revealed anything unusual so far. The Trust has also indicated that it is open to any inquiry if required.
