Rajnath Singh Slams Omar Abdullah Over His Remark On Afzal Guru

During a public rally in J&K's Ramban on September 8, Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh criticized former J&K Chief Minister and National Conference Vice-President Omar Abdullah for his remarks about Afzal Guru. Rajnath Singh questioned Abdullah's stance, saying that if Afzal Guru should not have been hanged, was he suggesting that Guru should have been publicly honored with garlands instead."I heard that National Conference leader Omar Abdullah sahab said that Afzal Guru should not have been hanged. I want to ask him that Afzal Guru should not have been hanged, should he have been garlanded publicly? ...Form a government here too, seeing the development here, the people of PoK will say that we do not want to stay with Pakistan, we want to go with India...we consider the people of PoK as our own, come and join us.
