Sri Lanka LoP Sajith Premadasa Hails ‘Special’ India Ties After Meeting Rajnath Singh

Sri Lanka’s Leader of Opposition Sajith Premadasa described India-Sri Lanka relations as a “special relationship” after meeting Defence Minister Rajnath Singh in Colombo. Premadasa said the meeting was constructive and progressive, highlighting the close partnership between the two countries. He said India and Sri Lanka share mutual interests in promoting peace, prosperity and harmony within their countries and across the Indian Ocean region. The meeting comes amid continued engagement between India and Sri Lanka on regional and strategic cooperation.
