Navjot Singh Sidhu said today he had agreed to meet with Punjab Chief Minister Charanjit Singh Channi for talks amid Congress attempts to placate him after his resignation as state Congress Chief. Earlier, his aide had said he "will stay Punjab Congress chief and lead the Congress in next year's election", indicating that the cricketer-turned-politician may backtrack on his resignation.
