Karnataka Congress Crisis | 'We Cannot Speak': Congress Leader On Karnataka Leadership Crisis

Amid intense speculation over a possible leadership change in Karnataka, Karnataka Congress Working President Salim Ahmed said party leaders have been placed under a “gag order” and are not authorised to comment on the ongoing tussle involving Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister D. K. Shivakumar. Speaking outside Karnataka Bhavan in New Delhi, Salim Ahmed insisted there were “no camps” within the Congress and maintained that current discussions with the high command were focused on cabinet expansion, Rajya Sabha nominations and organisational matters rather than leadership change. He also defended the Siddaramaiah government against BJP criticism, claiming governance had not suffered despite the political uncertainty and pointing to Congress victories in recent by-elections as proof of continued public support.
