India has been ranked the most dangerous place in the world for women, according to a new poll by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, which ranks India ahead of countries like Afghanistan, Syria, Saudi Arabia and Somalia. The last survey done in 2011 had ranked India at Number 7, but even after the December 16th gang-rape in 2012 and the tougher anti-rape laws that followed, India is seen as having become more dangerous for women.
