Karnataka Electoral Officer Breaks Silence On SIR Row, Says No Voter Deleted Solely On Form 7 Request

Amid the controversy over the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, Karnataka Chief Electoral Officer V Anbukumar has clarified that no voter has been removed solely on the basis of a Form 7 application. He said Electoral Registration Officers were consulted and confirmed that every deletion request undergoes verification and due process before any name can be struck off the voter list.
