Gaza News Today | Gaza Strip Turns Yellow As Dust Storm Blows Over, People Urged To Stay Indoors

A powerful dust storm swept across the Gaza Strip on Saturday, prompting authorities to urge residents to take precautions and remain indoors. Thick orange-tinted dust covered the enclave, reducing visibility and spreading across streets and residential areas. First responders operating under the Hamas-run Interior Ministry advised Palestinians, especially those with respiratory illnesses, to stay home. Residents were also urged to secure their tents to prevent them from being blown away by strong winds. Much of Gaza’s population remains displaced due to the war between Israel and Hamas, with many people living in tents and damaged buildings. Dust storms occur in the region, but officials said this was the most intense storm to hit Gaza in more than five years.
