Has Hamas Been Wiped Out? Israeli Envoy Answers
In an exclusive NDTV conversation, Israel's Ambassador to India Reuven Azar says Hamas has been "greatly debilitated" after Israel dismantled much of its military and underground infrastructure. He says Hamas no longer has the missile capability to attack Israeli communities, but retains its grip over Gaza's population and continues to hold weapons. Azar says Israel hopes Hamas will eventually renounce its weapons and transfer power to a Palestinian government that can take responsibility for Gaza's reconstruction and future.
