Italy Protests | Protesters Storm Colosseum, Wave Palestinian Flags Over Gaza War As Protests Spread

Hundreds of students and young demonstrators entered Rome’s iconic Colosseum for several minutes on Saturday evening, protesting against the war in Gaza and the Italian government led by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni. Protesters waved Palestinian flags and chanted slogans against the police. The brief demonstration came as thousands of young people marched through Milan, Rome and Turin. Authorities deployed soldiers in Milan following previous violent unrest, but Saturday’s demonstrations there remained peaceful.
