1,100-Kg Modak Takes Centre Stage In Kolkata Ahead Of Ganesh Chaturthi

Ahead of Ganesh Chaturthi, Kolkata's iconic sweet shop Balaram Mullick and Radharaman Mullick has crafted a massive 1,100-kilogram modak, putting Lord Ganesha's favourite sweet at the centre of the festivities. Decorated with figs, cashews and almonds, the giant modak is expected to be a major attraction during the ten-day celebration. Alongside the showstopper, the sweet shop is also offering nearly 40 varieties of modaks and laddoos, blending traditional recipes with contemporary flavours for devotees and visitors.
