With its eight lifts, four moving walkways, two pedestrian bridges, two cross-line passages, and twenty-one escalators, the building feels more like a complete transit system than just a ride. And here is the wild part: the escalator reportedly climbs the height of an 80-storey building. So yes, you are basically riding up the side of a massive vertical stretch without breaking a sweat.

More Fun Ways To Get Around In China

This is not the first time China has turned something as simple as an escalator into a travel highlight. The country has been quietly adding fun, easy ways for tourists to enjoy scenic spots without too much effort. Last year, Dana Wang, a travel content creator, gave the internet a glimpse of one such spot. She shared a video from her trip to China, showing a unique escalator set up right on a scenic mountain. The idea was simply to let visitors enjoy the view without the tiring climb.

As she turned her camera to the boardwalk, she explained that instead of walking up, visitors are paying 10 yuan (approx. Rs 115) to reach the uphill. The visitors get a mat to sit on, allowing them to ride a sitting escalator all the way up to the top of the hill. The clip showed dozens of people comfortably seated, gliding uphill. It almost looked like a slow-moving ride rather than regular transport.
