IndiGo flight disruptions entered their fifth day today, December 6. The persistent delays and cancellations have been affecting thousands of passengers, many of whom are growing anxious about missing important commitments, business meetings, family events, and the rising cost of last-minute travel. Amid this, a passenger at Terminal 2 of Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport posted a video on Instagram offering a closer glimpse of the chaos.

The clip opens with the woman explaining that the crowds have worsened to such an extent that airport staff were forced to shut down two entry gates to ensure smoother exits for travellers. She even compared the situation at the airport to Mumbai's ever-swarming Dadar station. According to her, while domestic flights were the worst affected, international travellers should also take precautions. She recommended arriving at the terminal at least 5-6 hours before departure to avoid bottlenecks and clear formalities without hassle.

To justify her advice, the woman recorded the seemingly endless queue. The video also revealed that she was flying to Thailand, and despite her flight being early in the morning, she arrived several hours ahead of time. The side note read, “Indigo flight update, Terminal 2, Mumbai, 5th December.”

Yeh international bus stand hai (This is an international bus stand),” joked a user.

“International flights are also affected. But they are not showing that. They are close to 20 hrs late,” pointed out another.

“That line was never-ending,” noted an individual.

One person wanted to know, “How much time did you guys take to check in/ board from that long queue you showed?”

The common sentiment was “crazy”.

IndiGo's ongoing disruptions are primarily being caused by an unexpected shortage of pilots due to planning deficiencies. Authorities are closely monitoring the situation. Following the massive upheaval, IndiGo CEO Pieter Elbers issued a statement apologising for the inconvenience and assured passengers that operations would return to normal between December 10 and 15.
