Travel has a way of awakening our senses and nourishing our souls. Those who've experienced the rush of wandering through foreign streets know that it is more than just exploring new destinations; it's also about the people we share those moments with. A heartwarming video of a mother-son duo's globetrotting adventures is now going viral on social media. The clip, shared on Instagram by user Lokesh Dharmani, showcases their decade-long journey covering over 15 countries.
In the video, Lokesh revealed himself to be a 45-year-old bachelor who embarked on a unique journey with his 75-year-old mother, starting 10 years ago after the loss of his father. In the caption, he wrote, "My mom and I have been travelling for last 10 years now. Together, we must have covered over 12 to 15 countries and countless cities."

Highlighting their differences as travellers, Lokesh added, "I am an introvert and mom is outgoing. I am experimental with food, she sticks to her comfort, Indian cuisine. I LOVE to walk. She wants a ride. Our initial travels were all about me. I would make her walk nonstop, push her to try new food. And to her credit, she was quite a trooper. Soon, I realised we must do things that she likes, because it is HER holiday when we are travelling together."
"As kids, we didn't go beyond Delhi's Appu Ghar, now the plan is to explore the world. As much as time, energy, and world affairs allow us to! If you are reading this, please say a special prayer for us. Would mean a lot!! Here's to our travel buddies!!!" he concluded.
The video went viral with more than 1.2 million views on Instagram. People shared their reactions to the wholesome story in the comments section.
One user wrote, "God bless you with immense wealth so that you keep treating the queen for what she is!"
Another added, "Best reel on my feed for the soul. God bless mom with good health."
"This is so cool. Happy and safe journey to you and your mum for all your travels," read a comment.
"You both are living your best life," remarked a user.
