Here Are The Details About The Open-Air Art Gallery:

The Srijan art gallery was established as part of the Art and Culture Department of the NDMC in May 2025, with a budget of Rs 40 crore. It aims to provide a dedicated space for young artists to showcase their work and connect with a diverse audience. "The gallery aims to democratise access to art by bringing it into open, accessible spaces - moving the art experience beyond traditional museums and auditoriums," Kuljeet Singh Chahal said. The gallery will have a nominal entry fee, and visitors can purchase artworks on display.

Keshav Chandra highlighted NDMC's civic and cultural duties, stating, "The work of a municipality ranges from sanitation to the development of art. We have to carry all these responsibilities together, and this Srijan Art Gallery is one such initiative." NDMC plans to launch similar initiatives in Lodhi Colony and Central Market.

Harshvardhan Sharma, the art and culture advisor in the NDMC, disclosed that a series of works by artist Praveen Upadhyay is currently on display at the exhibition, noting that these were borrowed from the Pioneer Art Gallery. Srijan will be open for artists to showcase their work for five to seven days at a nominal fee.
