Delhi has a new attraction set to delight dinosaur lovers. The National Science Centre's new gallery offers visitors a chance to step back in time and experience life in the time of dinosaurs. With its lifelike models, roaring sound effects, and interactive elements, the gallery will make visitors feel like they are in the movie Jurassic Park.
The Prehistoric Life Gallery at the National Science Centre was inaugurated on August 26. Since then, it has become a unique place in Delhi that offers a glimpse into how the world looked like when the dinosaurs lived.
A total of 35 species from different geological eras are featured in the gallery, from giant scorpions to early birds to massive dinosaurs and the Neanderthal man. The informative panels trace the story of the Earth itself.
The several life-sized and scaled animated robotic models of dinosaurs and other long extinct creatures are set in exhibits that offer a look at their natural habitat when they lived.
To recreate the atmosphere of the Jurassic era, models of volcanoes have also been set up at different points inside the gallery.

The combination of moving dinosaur models, special light and sound effects, and other interactive elements makes the gallery especially appealing to visitors, offering them a chance to learn about different prehistoric species in an engaging manner.
The gallery had existed earlier at the National Science Centre, but the older exhibits lacked the excitement needed to attract visitors. To upgrade the experience, the gallery was closed for almost a year for renovations, as per a News18 report.
The revamped version has received a lot of appreciation from visitors.
National Science Centre: How To Visit
If you are planning a visit to the National Science Centre, the nearest metro stations are the Supreme Court and Indraprastha stations located on the Blue Line.
Located near Bharat Mandapam, the centre is also easily accessible by road.

National Science Centre: Timings And Ticket Prices
The National Science Centre remains open every day from 9:30 am to 6 pm. The ticket sales are open till 5:15 pm.
Tickets are priced at Rs 100 per person.
