A special court in Chennai hearing the heroin possession case against Tamil Nadu Chief Minister J Jayalalithaa's disowned foster son Mr V N Sudhakaran has deferred its orders for tomorrow. Mr Sudhakaran was arrested in 2001 for illegally possessing 88 grams of heroin at his home and office in Chennai. He is currently out on bail.

A confidential note accessed by NDTV shows how market regulator SEBI had raised the issue with the Union Finance Ministry last year which in turn wrote to the state government to take "strict action against unregulated entities raising money from public with a view to defraud people."
