The bail granted to Karti Chidambaram, son of former Union Minister P Chidambaram, in the INX Media case, has been challenged in the Supreme Court by the Central Bureau of Investigation. The 46-year-old businessman was granted bail by the Delhi High Court in March after being questioned by the agency while in its custody for 23 days.

But a gazette notification to this effect issued by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions makes no mention of Anand Grover who was appointed the lead prosecutor in the case by the Supreme Court in 2014.
