A court in Goa Thursday acquitted 65-year-old singer Remo Fernandes in a verbal abuse case filed against him by a girl in 2015.

Vandana Tendulkar, president of the Goa Children's Court, ordered the singer to submit a personal bond of Rs. 50,000 and to report to the investigating officer in the case for 10 days. The musician was also asked to surrender his passport to the court. He was booked under the Goa Children's Act on charge of verbally abusing the girl

Pop singer Remo Fernandes filed an intervention application today before Goa Children's Court here stating he has no objection in the court monitoring the investigation into the case in which he is accused of threatening a minor girl who was allegedly knocked down by his son's car.
