Hearing to continue today in Baba Ramdev eviction case

The Supreme Court will continue the hearing in the case of the alleged police attack on Baba Ramdev's followers at the Ramlila Grounds in June last year. The amicus curiae appointed by the Supreme Court has found that Mr Chidambaram, as Home Minister, ordered the eviction of the yoga icon from his massive sit-in protest.

The Delhi Police on Friday did not take any responsibility for the violence at the Ramlila Maidan during Baba Ramdev's fast and blamed the yoga guru during a hearing at the Supreme Court. The Apex Court is hearing a suo-moto petition on the allege police violence at Baba Ramdev's anti-corruption gathering on June 4.
