Green fuel technologies and engineering company, Praj Industries and the Automotive Research Association of India (ARAI) have announced signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to jointly drive the application development of advanced biofuels.

Praj share price: Praj will provide engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) services to third parties. Praj Industries also signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Gevo Inc. to commercialize Gevo's renewable hydrocarbons products.

Praj Industries shares breached upper circuit by rising 20 per cent to Rs 70.40 on Friday, after the company posted a 76 per cent jump in net profit for the March quarter.

Total income during the quarter under review decreased to Rs 306.19 crore from Rs 349.43 crore in the same quarter of 2013-14 fiscal, the company said in a statement.

The plant will use captive power for about 50-60 per cent of its electricity requirement and the effluents generated by the plant will be converted into bio-compost, it added.

The Nifty opened flat on Tuesday as indicated by futures trade on Singapore Stock Exchange. Foreign investors continued to be net buyers of Indian equities on Monday as they have bought shares worth Rs 656 crore in cash market. However domestic investors remained net sellers to the tune of Rs 248 crore on Monday.

Nifty is likely to open in green on Friday as indicated by the future trade of Nifty on Singapore stock exchange.
