A team of officials from the Mumbai Police crime branch and the Anti-Terrorism Squad (ATS) has reportedly found human remains at Bollywood starlet Laila Khan's Igatpuri farmhouse, where she was allegedly killed along with her relatives. The remains will now be sent for analysis to ascertain identity, say sources.

Sleuths of the Mumbai Crime Branch (CB) have begun investigations immediately after taking custody of Parvez Ahmed Tak, the main accused in the murder of starlet Laila Khan and her family. A team of seven officers from Unit IX and XII reached Laila's farmhouse in Igatpuri early yesterday morning.

A court in Mumbai has remanded Parvez Ahmed Tak, stepfather of Bollywood actor Laila Khan and a suspect in her disappearance case, to police custody till July 19. Tak was brought to the city from Jammu on Sunday night by the Crime Branch of the Mumbai Police for questioning in connection with the case.

The Mumbai Crime Branch has arrested Asif Shaikh in an effort to solve the mystery shrouding the fate of starlet Laila Khan and her family, but it is not prepared to trust the suspect's confession just yet and is waiting to interrogate Parvez Ahmed Tak, who is currently in custody of the Jammu & Kashmir police.
