Odisha Bus Tragedy

Five people, including a woman, died and several others are reported injured after a Kolkata-bound bus fell from a bridge in Odisha's Jajpur district on Monday evening, police said.

Odisha government Monday suspended four engineers of two departments over the Ganjam bus tragedy in which 10 people were electrocuted and burnt to death, state Energy Minister DS Mishra said.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday condoled the death of seven passengers who lost their lives in the Mahanadi bridge bus accident in Odisha on Tuesday."Condolences to those who lost their loved ones due to the bus accident in Cuttack. May the injured recover at the earliest," the Prime Minister's Office tweeted.
