Flying Drone To Be Legal In India From December, Ban On Use For Delivery

The commercial use of drones (unmanned aircraft) across sectors such as agriculture, health and disaster relief under new regulations will come into force from December 1, but delivery of payload, including food items, would not be allowed as of now, the government said today.

The Supreme Court today dismissed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) seeking to make intelligence agencies Intelligence Bureau (IB), Research and Analysis Wing (RAW) and National Technical Research Organisation (NTRO) accountable to Parliament, saying trying to get into the domain of intelligence may create a dent in national security.
