Kashmiri Traders Attacked

The Jharkhand Police on Sunday said it has detained three persons who were a part of a group that allegedly forced Kashmiri traders to chant ''Jai Shri Ram'' and ''Pakistan Murdabad'' in Ranchi.

Congress president Rahul Gandhi on Friday condemned the attack by members of a fringe group on two Kashmiri traders in Lucknow, saying he as disgusted by the video of the assault.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kanpur today cited the case of the attack on Kashmiri traders in Lucknow to illustrate a point: "It is crucial to maintain an atmosphere of unity".
