Several currency notes stored in an Automated Teller Machine (ATM) were reduced to ashes after a gang of thieves attempted to break it open using a gas cutter at Nelamangala on the city outskirts on Thursday, police said.

Tomatoes worth Rs 2.5 lakh were allegedly stolen from a farm of a woman in Karnataka. The thieves allegedly decamped with 50-60 bags of tomatoes from the farm located in Goni Somanahalli village of Hassan district Tuesday night.

After one of the two men spots CCTV camera, all three escaped the spot in a failed theft attempt.
