Jodhpur Girl Dies

Rescue workers pulled out the body of the four-year-old girl, who had slipped into a 440-feet deep borewell at a farm in Melana village of Jodhpur, officials said.

A 17-year-old who had carved a "Blue Whale" into her arm was rescued after she jumped off a cliff into a lake in Rajasthan's Jodhpur around midnight yesterday. "If I don't complete my task my mother will die," she told the policemen who dragged her out of the water.

Three persons, including an eight-year-old girl, were killed and 12 injured when a wall collapsed on two mud houses in Jodhpur, police said today.
