Accept that "You are a public figure and You have to face criticism," Chief Minister Jayalalithaa was told by the Supreme Court today, which was sharp in its criticism of her bringing defamation cases against opposition leaders in her home state of Tamil Nadu.

Jayalalithaa files defamation complaint against Tamil newspaper

Tamil Nadu Government has filed a complaint in the Principal Sessions Court in Chennai against a Tamil bi-weekly for publishing a news item allegedly defaming Chief Minister Jayalalithaa. The complaint, filed by the City Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Chief minister, cited the Editor, Publisher and Printer of "Junior Vikatan" as accused.
