Indore Highest Rainfall

Indore received its highest single-day rainfall in 40 years, and Bhopal the highest for August in 14 years as heavy widespread rainfall lashed Madhya Pradesh for the third day in a row. The widespread rain flooded many rivers, including Narmada, forcing officials to open dam gates.

Madhya Pradesh has received a total of 656.7 mm rainfall so far in the ongoing monsoon season, which is the highest in the decade, according to Met office sources.
