Students of new batch joining the Film and Television Institute of India (FTII) in Pune, which had last year witnessed strident protests against appointment of Gajendra Chauhan as chairman, will have to sign "general conduct" declaration promising to maintain "decorum and decency" on campus and not to "insult" faculty and staffers.

After his visit to Nagpur, Jawaharlal Nehru University Students' Union (JNUSU) president Kanhaiya Kumar will next week meet the students of FTII here who had protested against Gajendra Chauhan's appointment as the chairman of the institute.

Thirty five FTII students were listed in a chargesheet for today for allegedly gheraoing and illegally confining the institute's director Prashant Pathrabe last year.
