Cooperative Society Scam Case

The Rajasthan High Court on Friday directed the state's Special Operations Group not to arrest Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in connection with the Sanjeevani Credit Cooperative Society case without previous approval of the court.

Union Minister and senior BJP leader Gajendra Singh Shekhawat on Friday attacked Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, alleging that he was trying to derail the investigation into the Sanjivani Credit Cooperative Society scam case.

Chief Minister Gehlot verbally attacked the Union Minister and said, "Gajendra Singh Shekhawat is trying to mislead the public in the case of the Sanjeevani Cooperative Society scam""

In a relief to Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat in a cooperative society scam case, the Rajasthan High Court has stayed a lower court's order that had directed the magistrate court to send a criminal complaint for further investigation to the Special Operations Group (SOG).

The Centre today told the Supreme Court that 93 flats in the controversial 28-storey Adarsh Cooperative Society in Mumbai were still locked and it did not know what was inside those flats.
