Three days ahead of the third phase polls in Bihar, a video has been released by the BJP which purportedly shows a lawmaker of the Janata Dal (United) accepting an alleged bribe of Rs. 2 lakh. The BJP claimed the lawmaker had fallen for its sting operation.

Attacking Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar over the bribery video sting, BJP chief Amit Shah today dared him to make public the names of five other ministers who were allegedly involved in the scandal besides Awadhesh Kushwaha, and said graft and 'jungle raj' were now common in the state.

There was more trouble for former Bihar minister, Awadhesh Prasad Kushwaha, as the police registered a First Information Report against him in connection with a sting video that allegedly showed him accepting bribe.

Awadhesh Kushwaha, a minister in the Nitish Kumar government, has resigned after a video emerged that shows a sting operation in which he is shown accepting money allegedly in return for favours. Mr Kushwaha was the Urban Development Minister in the Bihar government.
