All India Students Federation (AISF), of which sedition accused Kanhaiya Kumar is a member, is not contesting JNU student Union polls this year for which the final list of candidates was declared in New Delhi on Thursday.

CPI does not have any affiliated organisations and the outfits like AISF are independent but "friendly" towards the party, CPI General Secretary S Sudhakar Reddy said today.
