Senior Karnataka government officer attacked

Bangalore: A government official was allegedly attacked by some unidentified miscreants while he was returning home in his car, police said on Wednesday.

Mahantesh, 48, who sustained head injuries in the attack last night, has been admitted to a private hospital where he condition is stated to be "serious", police sources told PTI.

Mr Mahantesh is Deputy Director, Cooperative Audit.
