Bollywood producer Boney Kapoor's son Arjun Kapoor is all set to make his big screen debut with Yash Raj Films' Ishaqzaade.

Arjun plays the role of Parma in the film which is is a story about two fiery youngbloods and their struggle for power and supremacy.

Arjun will be romancing one-film old Parineeti Chopra of Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl fame.

The film's first trailer has become a hit with youngsters, with very positive responses on it's launch day.

New kid on the block Arjun considers Salman ‘bhai', as he calls him, his mentor.

It was Salman Khan who convinced Arjun, who had wanted to direct, to become an actor instead.

Before joining films, Arjun worked as an assistant director for dad Boney's production house.

The film has been written and directed by Habib Faisal of Do Dooni Chaar fame.

Its music has been composed by Amit Trivedi and is already topping the charts.

Arjun has got rave reviews for the song which he calls his item number.

Arjun is the son of Boney Kapoor and his first wife, the late Mona Kapoor. He was reportedly cast via Facebook and not because of his starry connections. The film's casting director apparently saw Arjun's pictures on FB and then called him for an audition.

Rumour has it that Ishaqzaade's TV rights have been sold for a whopping Rs. 15 crore even before its release in May.

Parineeti Chopra's filmy connection is famous cousin Priyanka. Her role was previously offered to Anushka Sharma.

Parineeti has been lauded for her debut performance in Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl.

Ishaqzaade is all set to release on May 11.
