It was the quietest celebrity wedding of the year. Konkona Sen Sharma and Ranvir Shorey were married on September 3 at Konkona's Goregaon residence with only close family friends in attendance. Their marriage, just like their love story, was kept secret from the media.

Superstar Rajinikanth's younger daughter Soundarya tied the knot with Ashwin, a Chennai based builder at a high profile ceremony at Rani Meyammai Hall in Chennai. The high-profile wedding was attended by who's who of the film industry, business world and politics.

According to reports, Rajini had also requested his fans not to attend Soundarya's wedding ceremony. In a statement the actor said that though he wanted to invite all the fans to his daughter's marriage, he was unable to do so because of space constraint and logistic reasons. But he wanted their blessings for his daughter.

Rajini has himself supervised all the arrangements for the wedding. According to reports the actor has gifted a brand new apartment to Soundarya.

Southern actor Bala ties the knot with Idea Star Singer fame Amritha Suresh in Chennai. The couple had got engaged a year back. The marriage took place according to Tamil rituals. The couple plan to host a grand reception in Kochi on September 5 for their colleagues in Kerala.

Television actor Rushad Rana who plays the role of Akshay in serial Rang Badalti Odhni, tied the knot with fiance Khushnum, a psychologist-hypnotherapist on December 10.
