Kavita Devi Wrestles In WWE Wearing Salwar-Kameez. Millions Are Watching

A video of a saffron salwar-kameez clad Kavita Devi wrestling in the WWE ring is viral

Kavita Devi is the first Indian woman to compete in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) ring. A video of her wrestling in a saffron salwar-kameez with a dupatta tied tightly around her waist is currently trending on YouTube. A short clip of Kavita Devi wrestling New Zealand's Dakota Kai was uploaded on YouTube on August 31 and has already been viewed well over three million times.

Watch the viral video below:

The women were wrestling in the first round of Mae Young Classic, a tournament for women. Though Kavita Devi eventually lost the match to Dakota Kai, she clearly won over the Internet:

Kavita Devi - a former competitive powerlifter - has represented India in international competitions, including the 2016 South Asian Games, where she won gold in the 75 kg category.

According to WWE's official website, Kavita Devi's "inspiration" is her trainer The Great Khali.

WWE hopes Kavita Devi will one day become a household name in wrestling, and if reponse to this viral video is anything to go by, that may happen sooner rather than later.
