An inter-zone cricket tournament was organised recently for the police department of zone 7 which was held at Shree Datta Krida Prabodhini in Mulund.
Eight teams from zone-7 participated. The teams included police officers and other staff from Vikhroli, Park Site, Bhandup, Kanjurmarg, Mulund, Navghar, Ghatkopar and Pantnagar police stations. There were also special matches for four teams, which included children from the families of policemen from Mulund, Vikhroli, Pantnagar and Ghatkopar police quarters.
"On the occasion of Diwali, we organised a cricket tournament for the department to allow them a respite from their hectic schedule," said Bunty Bhosle, assistant police inspector, Mulund police station.
