It is more of ''straight line concept'' rather than ''classical and ornate''. To balance out the minimalistic approach, use crisp and rich natural tones of colours like beige, brown, pristine white and caramel tan etc. A bonus is that it will add comfort and warmth to your room.

2. Clear Clutter:

A cluttered home signifies cluttered mind, which leads to increasing stress levels. Keeping the home clean is a chore that requires daily diligence. The concept of "do I need it'' must be applied over ''I like it'' and "I must have it''. Even Feng shui advocates minimalistic clutter free décor for harmonious living.

3. Choose Quality:

Fewer designer décor items can make your home look attractive and free of clutter. Consider each piece carefully when decorating your home. Choose well-made pieces that are made to last, can withstand daily use and look better as a result. Bring out your creativity by using old materials as well.

4. Balance is Key:

Balance is essential for the right attention in the minimalistic design. Arrange pillows, artwork or lamps in flanking pairs or use asymmetrical patterns for a good look. This will make a big difference in the placement of each group of items through balance and how you see the space.
