1. Vitamin A Infused Skincare

Retinol has played a significant role in shaping the skincare scenario in 2021. This Vitamin A derivative will easily chime into the New Year for very obvious reasons and it will stand true to Korean skincare as well. We're sure to see more retinol-infused serums, face oils, sheet masks and other topical products.

2. Prickly Pear Seed Oil

Prickly Pear Seed Oil may be new to the skincare scene but is rapidly growing in popularity for its properties in fatty acids like Omega-6, Omega-9 and so on. The Vitamin E levels present in the oil promotes cell growth and regeneration to reveal healthier looking skin.

3. Chlorophyll-Infused Products

Back in 2020, netizens went gaga when beauty influencers began adding chlorophyll extracts to water and ingesting it claiming that it was good for acne and scars. While we cannot confirm those claims, chlorophyll is proven to contain Vitamins such as A, C, E and K, all of which are important skincare ingredients for healthy skin. When used topically, chlorophyll also as anti-microbial properties that help reduce acne scars and inflammation.

5. Simple Skincare

Contrary to the famous 10-step Korean skincare routine, we're seeing a shift in simpler and time-evasive regimes which will travel well into 2022 as well. Sustainable packaging, multi-use products in skincare, haircare and beauty, gentle and vegan ingredients are just some of the changes we will be seeing at the core in the Korean beautyscape.
