These 5 Things Are Causing Your Acne Breakouts. Did You Know?
Long calls on the phone could be responsible for your breakouts.

In today's world, with the aggravating pollution, our skin is in need of extra care and pampering. Breakouts are a serious problem. We spend so much money on cleansers, moisturizers, lotions, and other beauty products to get these spots in control. However, these stubborn pimples just don't seem to budge. There can be many causes of acne, but what we don't realize is that there might be some things we do on a daily basis that trigger breakouts without us even realizing it.

1) Your Phone

The smartphones and touch screens that we use all the time have become one of our basic needs. This might be a cause of worry for your skin, though. Are you completely fed up and done with the line of breakouts on the side of your ear and jawline? You might want to consider blaming the long calls on your phone. No matter how much we are addicted to having those interesting conversations with our best friends for hours on our phones, these tiny, addictive machines can disturb your skin and cause breakouts.

Prevention:

Just like your hands, sanitize your phone before use. Use sanitizing wipes and clean your phone thoroughly. Also, keep changing that screen guard regularly. Or use the speakerphone and earphones.

2) Pillow Covers

It is extremely comforting to just collapse on your bed after a busy day - but this comfort is a nightmare for your skin. Like any other object, your pillowcase also has a tendency of absorbing dirt and oil. While you're busy taking that beauty sleep, this dirt transfers onto your face and can cause irritation.

Prevention:

The kind of pillow you use; cotton or bird feather won't change anything. It is pointless to expect your hair to be perfect in the morning and your skin glowing if your pillow has transformed into a dirtball. Cleaning and changing your sheets regularly - every 5-6 days - can prevent your face from coming in contact with these germs.

3) Touching Your Face Too Much

We use our hands to do everything. From the cleanest job to the dirtiest. Naturally, they tend to pick up dirt and when we touch our face, it can lead to breakouts. This might not necessarily cause acne, but can definitely worsen it. Even others touching your face can cause breakouts.

Prevention:

Avoid touching your face. And make sure you clean your hands before washing or touching your face.

4) Your Towel

Your towel can be the most dirt-absorbing thing at home. It collects dirt, makeup, oil, bacteria - and these pollutants can't even be seen on the towel. Bacteria live in a damp environment, which means your towels actually allow bacteria to sustain.

Prevention:

Always use a clean cloth to wipe your face after washing. In fact, an old but clean t-shirt is a better option to clean your face than a used towel that has been lying out.

5) Changing Beauty Products Frequently

Changing beauty products frequently means introducing your face to a whole lot of new chemicals in a very short duration of time. This doesn't allow your skin or you to figure out which chemicals can cause irritation to your face.

Prevention:

Don't keep changing beauty products frequently just because a new cream looks good on TV. Give your face time to adjust to the chemicals and slowly, steadily add the new product to your routine.
