After Anushka Sharma and Virat Kohli's most recent posts, we decided to dig a little deeper and find out more about their secret keepers, the real heroes of the this grand wedding, Shaadi Squad.
Finding the right wedding planner is one of the most important parts of planning a wedding. And Anushka and Virat seem to have hit a jackpot with Shaadi Squad, a team of Mumbai-based wedding planning and production excerpts. The newly-wed couple couldn't stop gushing over the team on Instagram, 'The people responsible for making the most memorable occasion of our lives peaceful and beyond beautiful - our lovely wedding planners.'
According to their website, the Shaadi Squad team members actually come from a background in film production. No wonder they made this dream Bollywood - cricket wedding a reality.
A little bit of more Insta-stalking tells us they had been keeping the couple's secret for about 4 months. In an Instagram post on their company profile, they said, 'Four months of keeping a secret, hiding even from our own team, the secret recces, midnight meetings, vague conversations, and sleepless nights have finally manifested into this grand moment. Thank you Anushka and Virat, for making us part of your family and trusting us to pull off something of this magnitude. You believed in us, even on those sleepless nights that we didn't!'
They also went on to thank the other superstars who helped make it all come together - Super Tuscan Wedding Planners, who collaborated with them on the Italian ground; The Wedding Filmer (who doesn't love their work?), for shooting the wedding video; Devika Narain, who designed the wedding, Joseph Narain for the photography, and Ritu Dalmia, for an exquisite befitting the occasion. So that's the whole Dream Team, and we have to add, they definitely do deserve our grudging admiration for managing to (largely) pull the wool over our eyes.
Having followed the little details about the wedding, slowly trickling out on social media, one thing is for sure: Shaadi Squad is definitely a team worth watching out for, and we're definitely going to be looking out for more of their work . After all, who doesn't love obsessing over gorgeous Indian weddings every once in a while?
