Even with a steady salary, it isn't unusual to find yourself completely broke by the end of the month. So how do you make sure that you have some money left for yourself and the things that you actually want to do? By working a little more. We're not talking about taking up another job on the side. Here are a few simple ways to earn some extra income outside of your job.
1. Resell some thrift store items
If you look hard enough, you're sure to find things lying around your house that you haven't used in years. An old DVD player, a tape recorder, a walkman - all these 90s items that you just can't imagine yourself using any longer can actually sell for hefty amounts online. Do some research and list them on a website to sell. They'll get you some good cash thanks to their 'vintage' value as seen in the market.
2. Walk dogs
If you're not a dog person, we don't blame you for skipping this one. But if you are, this is a great way to earn some extra cash. Think about all the (friendly) dogs in your colony that need a walk at least twice a day - and all the dog owners who just don't have the time. Put a few flyers around your colony or head to your colony park to spread the word. You will be making some extra money and having fun in no time.
3. Take some lessons
By this we don't mean sign up for a lesson, we mean tutor some kids. While mathematics or science may not be your cup of tea, there's definitely something that you're good at. Whether it's painting lessons for kids, a language tutorial or creative writing classes - pick what you're good at and will enjoy and start hosting lessons to teach kids.
