Bengaluru: TaxiForSure will migrate to Ola in cities like Hubli-Dharwad, Kochi, Lucknow, Patna and Visakhapatnam among others to serve customers in a better way.
"Everybody needs to change with the times, and we are doing the same. TaxiForSure is migrating to Ola in your city and now we can serve you better," TaxiForSure (TFS) said in its official blog today.
It also said the TFS account will be transferred to Ola and everything will remain the same, just the App will change.
"If you have added money to your TFS credits, it will be transferred back to your bank account," the company said. TFS' latest plan to migrate to Ola in smaller cities comes in the wake of tough competition from US-based Uber, which has announced its plan to invest USD 50 million (Rs 317 crore) for bulding a response and support centre in Hyderabad.
The company said TaxiForSure continues to operate as an independent brand in the top 30 cities with a strong focus on building the most economical brand in personal transportation.
The company further said the consolidation of TaxiForSure into the Ola app in the next 22 cities is designed to ensure a seamless experience for consumers, straight from Ola app.
"We have ensured a smooth transition for driver and operator partners from the TFS platform to Ola's in terms of technology and training to ensure that nothing changes for customers in these cities," it said.
Customers can continue to book a ride of their choice through the Ola app with one touch and TaxiForSure will continue to offer the most economical fares in 30 cities across the country, starting Rs 49, the company said.
Other cities where TaxiForSure will migrate to Ola are - Ambala, Bhavnagar, Coimbatore, Dehradun, Jabalpur, Jamnagar, Jamshedpur, Madurai, Mangalore, Raipur, Ranchi, Sholapur, Tiruchirappalli, Trivandrum, Ujjain, Varanasi and Vijayawada.
