PM Modi pledged to protect the environment and build quality infrastructure in his speech in Kedarnath

Kedar Nath, Uttarakhand: Prime Minister Narendra Modi is in Kedarnath, Uttarakhand where he was welcomed by Uttarakhand Governor KK Paul and Chief Minister Trivendra S Rawat. PM Modi spoke at length about building quality infrastructure in Kedarnath, while preserving traditional ethos. He also spoke about the importance of the environment and the need to protect it. PM Modi also spoke about making Kedarnath an ideal pilgrimage spot and in turning Uttarakhand into an organic state.

  • I am here today to seek the blessings of Bhole Baba and it is here that I will devote myself to realise the dream of a developed India by 2022, when we mark 75 years of freedom.

  • We must strive to ensure that Uttarakhand becomes an Organic State.
